15 y old is from three casks bourbon sherry and new oak
The Solera Reserve is one of my favourite scotches. Delicious.

The age statement on a bottle of Scotch whisky refers to the whisky’s minimum guaranteed age. Glenfiddich Solera Reserve has been matured in oak casks, in Dufftown, for at least 15 years.

Can you clarify something for me… is the 15 year in the Solera name telling us that this is the minimum age of the resulting liquid, the average age or the maximum age?
